1. He was in love with Gwen.

2. He's in love with Gwendolyn.

3. He's tried not to be in love with either of them, but there's nothing he can do.

4. He has never kissed a girl.

For lil-Gwenie-mun: I freaking finally managed to grab 11K by the nads and shove him in a fic for you. He was not happy about it.


He's been spending a lot of time on Gwendolyn's couch since learning it was capable of holding his weight. He stretches himself over the length of it. Himself is slightly longer than the length of it, and his tail generally trails off across the floor and various arms spill off the edge, but it's comfortable. It feels like an appropriate place to wait for her to get home. Normal people sit on couches all the time, after all.

Kevin 11K watches. He scowls and snarls under his breath at the usurper; the thing that has taken his rightful place. In the grand scheme of things, that is.

He feels restless. He's never stayed in one place this long before. Well, the Null Void, but that doesn't count. It makes his hands and his feet itch. The kind of itch that can't be scratched. He should just get in the car and drive; never look back. Only there's the girl. And the kid. And the...Tennyson. It's the last thing he'd ever want any of them to know, but inside a part of him does feel trapped.

Kevin 11K knows. He laughs at the little play hero. He'll break, and break easy.

His tail is broken. It doesn't stop him; doesn't even slow him down. Kevin 11 (or maybe he's twelve by now, it's hard to say) rages across the expanse of nothingness that is the Null Void. The pain good: it keeps him focused. Angry. Without the anger, things start to go frighteningly hazy. He's not going down like that.

Kevin 11K approves. There's hope for him yet.

There is a saying: that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Kevin 11K can see in and out of each and every one. And although all he can do at the moment is watch, he's sure it won't be long before he finds the doors.

For Valentine's Day, Gwen gets a drive down some familiar streets, past row after row of dark warehouses. They remain unchanged, as buildings in such neighborhoods do until the day they crumble to the ground.

The thick metal door of one particular warehouse is down, but unlocked, and lights are visible inside.

There is no breaking and entering on Valentine's Day.

"I called in a favor from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy," Kevin explains.
